Brett Hayes uses techniques perfected by the Old Masters for his new exhibition of sky and seascapes.
While his oil paintings are painstakingly created using thin layers on canvas and linen, the results are breathtakingly of the moment.
"I want to convey the magic and beauty that can come from a simple, everyday scene," says Brett. "A single cloud in the sky, the last ray of light on a summer's day, or a wave crashing on the sand - things that we can otherwise overlook or take for granted."
