“Journeys Retraced”
comes at a pivotal point in SANDI RIGBY’S career as an etcher and print
maker. It has now been twelve years
since Sandi started on her printmaking road and, after many exhibitions and
awards the results continue to be breath-taking.
She has produced a
number of imaginative and detailed series from Yemen, through Croajingalong,
Venice, Paris, Nests and Larapinta. All
influenced by her travels overseas and her walking trips through Australia’s
remote areas.
Sandi has an amazing
ability to take what the eye sees and create patterns that are so obvious, but
so subtle that they aren’t obvious.
Gallery Oscar is
excited to present a sample of Sandi’s old works as well as pieces never
exhibited.
